David S. Dockery was appointed president, effective June 1, 2014. Dr. Dockery served as president of Union University for 18 years following service at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY as chief academic officer, where he also was professor of theology and New Testament. He is the author or editor of 35 books.
