The Christian College Consortium (CCC) conducts a student exchange program with Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya. The program is open to students from institutions which are members of the Consortium as well as to a limited number from other colleges and universities which have a relationship with Daystar.

In an ever-shrinking world, study abroad provides a marvelous opportunity to learn first-hand about another corner of that world while, at the same time, learning a great deal about yourself: your values, your ability to work and live with others, and the depth of your Christian commitment. At Daystar and in Kenya, you will be immersed in the culture of a Third World nation while studying and living with students from more than 25 African countries.

Classes and living accommodations are on the Athi River campus located about 25 miles from downtown Nairobi. A shuttle bus pass permits you to travel to Nairobi frequently for shopping, cultural events, involvement in ministry, and entertainment.

You will be enrolled as a full-time student at the University and thus have opportunity to explore the history, culture, literature, politics, art, music, and religions of Africa. An introductory course in Kiswahili, Kenya's second national language is available. (English is Kenya's other national language; all classroom instruction is in English.)

Courses complementing your major at home can be taken from one of Daystar's fields of study which are:

• Accounting • Bible and Religious Studies
• Business Administration and Management • Communication
• Community Development • Economics
• Education • English
• Marketing • Music
• Psychology

Additional major programs are in developmental stages. In the meantime, some courses are offered in computer science, mathematics, social work, and sociology. Coursework in Peace and Reconciliation Studies is available through the Bible Department.

In addition to the academic program, several other opportunities and services would be built into your Daystar experience. They include:
